About Me:
I'm a semi-retired bishop in the Old Catholic movement in the USA. My current ministry at my local church, Holy Spirit Ecumenical Catholic Church, Clearwater Florida, is occasional homilist and regular teacher of Bible and adult Christian Education.

I've come to understand the Jesus of history as a person who invited his disciples to live into the Kingdom of God which he said was right here, at hand, at your finger tips. He invited us by example more than by teaching. His teaching has been largely ignored ever since the mid 4th century when the Christian churches decided to follow the Emperor Constantine rather than the peasant Jesus of Nazareth.

In order to make Christianity acceptable to a murderous Emperor (they always are murderous) they removed the idea that Jesus was leading a life of non-violence and healing and asking us to join in this life - because this is the Kingdom of God. It is not a 'where' question. It is a "how" and "when" question. The Kingdom of God is not somewhere over the rainbow, far, far away. The Kingdom of God is present WHEN people live "HOW" Jesus lived. And how did Jesus live? Read the Gospels! They are our source for how Jesus lived and why he died.

That is in brief where I am, who I am and how I am.
