Christarchy!

Groups

Christarchy is about groups...or at least that is the goal. Christarchy was started over a year ago with the hope that people all over could find like-minded friends close by to begin to explore what it means to follow in the radical way of Jesus. So, how does that work?
  1. Look for groups in your area.
  2. If there isn't anything in your area, you can create a group page.
  3. Each group page allows you to invite new members...they don't have to already be members of Christarchy.
Here's an example. I am a part of the South Minneapolis Christarchy group. We currently have only 6 members (though lots of people on Christarchy.com are from the Twin Cities and haven't signed up...hint hint).

If you visit our page, you can find our meeting information (time and location) as well as a list of topics we've covered or are going to cover. Tomorrow night our group will be talking about peacemaking...how can we take a stand against violence in our city?

So...spread the word! Form groups! Join groups! Invite friends to your group! By the end of the summer we should be finished developing a Christarchy Organizer's Guide for those looking for ideas about starting, facilitating, and mobilizing a group towards radical Christ-centered living.

The Jesus Manifesto is a webzine that asks "what does it mean to follow Jesus in the shadow of the Empire?"

Anchored in the West Bank of Minneapolis, Missio Dei tries to follow Jesus' way of peace, simplicity, prayer, and hospitality.

Missio Dei offers their breviary (a short book of morning and evening prayers) for free online. The prayers, which are anchored in the four Gospels, repeat each month.

Submergent is a network of leaders who, informed by an Anabaptist vision, are living into the Kingdom of God in a postmodern, post-colonial, post-Christian world. Together, we will re-baptize the Christian imagination!
